the official website of Tamale Metropolitan Assembly

The roads in the Metropolis are fairly good especially those that link the Metropolis to other district capitals. The tarred roads in the area facilitate easy commuting from one place to the other. There is no traffic congestion. Most of the farming and the Peri-urban communities are linked to the marketing centers by feeder roads. The availability of access roads linking farming communities is an incentive to the farmers since post harvest losses are reduced. Although most of the roads are tarred, some linking the regional capital to the remotest areas are yet to be tarred. Others have been graveled but yet to be tarred.
