At a just ended brief ceremony, the coordinating Director, Mr. Gilbert B. Nuuri-Teg has on behalf of the assembly presented dual desks numbering one thousand (1000) to the GES for distribution to basic schools in the metropolis.
This intervention is tailor made, carefully thought through to augment the furniture stock in the schools, particularly the basic schools category. The Coordinating Director, Mr Gilbert B Nuuri-Teg assured GES, like the rest of the decentralized departments and institutions, of the assembly’s continues effort to develop the metropolis. He therefore appealed to all stakeholders for their cooperation as the assembly strives for improved service delivery.
Receiving the furniture for and behalf of the service, the metro coordinator for basic schools, Hon. Abu Takoro who came in the company of one of the deputy directors by name Madam Amadu Munira, was grateful to the assembly for the support.
He assured management of due diligence in the allocation and distribution of the furniture. According to Hon. Takoro, this intervention will help plans to implement a recently re-introduced shift system which came as a stop gap measure to stem the spread of the novel corana virus disease. Ultimately the support, he added, will help improve teaching and learning in the beneficiary schools.
