Hon Sule Salifu,mayor of Tamale has over the weekend toured the Aboabo market as part of his working visit to the Central Business District of Tamale. The unannounced visit afforded him the opportunity to interact with the traders particularly women.
Hon Sule admitted the current economic difficulties the country is currently faced with ,but was quick to assure the traders that with the ongoing reforms and restructuring profile being introduced by government, economic stability will soon be restored.
The mayor admonished them to take advantage of the numerous social intervention programs being rolled out to ease their burden.
The women on their part lamented poor sales against price hikes of food items and other commodities.
