The director of the Cactus Junges Theater, a German-based theatre group from the city of
Munster ,madam Barbara Kemmlertoday paid a courtesy call on the mayor of Tamale ,
Hon. Sule Salifu in his office.
She arrived yesterday in Tamale on yet another working visit. This is her third visit to Tamale in two years.
Briefing the mayor on the purpose of the visit , madam Barbara explained that her team has started a theater project in collaboration with the Tamale
Youth Home under the partnership between the two sister cities-Tamale and Munster.
She noted that in the coming days her group intends to hold a scheduled meeting with the University for
Development Studies to firm up talks on possible cooperation in the establishment and operation of
the faculty of performing art in the university.
Madam Barbara used the platform to present an invitation letter on behalf of the mayor of Munster, inviting his counterpart (mayor of Tamale ) to Germany in the second quarter of this year on an expert mission and familiarization between the two leaders.
In his welcome remarks, Hon.Sule Salifu expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the gesture.
He explained a project initiative his administration has already started to give facelift to the Tamale
Youth Home Hon Sule Salifu was optimistic that the project on completion will help position the center for a lot
more collaboration locally and internationally
