The Coordinator of special development initiatives at the Presidency, Hon. Napaga Tia Sulemana, was this afternoon at the office of the Mayor of Tamale to pay courtesy call.
Briefing the media, the coordinator explained that the purpose of the visit was to familiarize and to monitor ongoing development projects in the catchment area of what she described as Northern zone, comprising the 5 regions of the North namely ;Northern, Savannah, North-East, Upper East and Upper West Regions.
She assured the Mayor, Hon. Sule Salifu and indeed management of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, of her administration’s renewed commitment to ensuring completion of development projects not only on schedule but also value for money delivery.
She hinted plans to engage on a monitoring tour of selected ongoing projects at west Hospital, Zogbele and Gballahi. She was in the company of the Mayor and the CEO for the Northern Development Authority, NDA among other officials. Meanwhile, as part of her monitoring tour of the Northern Region, Hon. Napaga had been to Yendi and Bimbilla during which she paid courtesy call on the overlords for Dagbang and Nanung respectively.
The Mayor of Tamale, Hon. Sule Salifu was grateful for the visit and pledged his support for this course. Hon. Sule used the platform to share a few project implementation challenges faced by the Assembly and appealed for support of the special development initiative to address them, going forward.
