As part of ongoing effort to strengthen institutional collaboration between and among state and non state actors involved in service delivery, the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, in collaboration with the Catholic Relief Services, CRS, has organized stakeholder Consultative meeting with NGOs and other development partners in the Tamale Metropolitan area. The meeting aimed at examining the Assembly-led development projects implementation status as contained in its 2022 – 2025 Medium Term Development Plan document.
In a power point presentation, the head of the planning unit of the Assembly, Mr Ibrahim Mustapha, schooled participants on various development project initiatives, both physical and softwares, including their respective status as well as implementation challenges.
Participants subsequently took turns to make inputs on the subject matter.
Among other things, the Assembly was commended for creating the platform to facilitate deeper collaboration and building and promoting sustainable partnership with various development partners in the Tamale Metropolitan area.
Some action points were arrived at as follows
Updating the data base of all NGOs in the catchment area including their respective thematic areas; meeting with management at regular intervals, tentatively on quarterly basis ; creating a group whatsApp platform to facilitate information sharing in record time among others
The 2-day meeting is expected to end tomorrow with far-reaching resolution to guide the process of building and promoting partnership on sustainable basis.
