The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has since the last few years launched furniture distribution program to schools. The move is aimed at clearing the deficit and ultimately improve learning outcomes in the public basic schools in the metropolis.
The assembly has in its latest move,under this program, procured two thousand fit-for-pursue dual desk for distribution to schools.
At a short ceremony held on Saturday, the mayor of Tamale , Hon. Sule Salifu presented about 700 of the dual desk to the GES for distribution to selected schools.
Seven (7)schools have benefited under this phase with plans to continue the distribution to the rest of the targeted schools in the coming weeks.
