The mayor of Tamale, Hon Alhaji Abu Takoro joined the Ambaryya sunny community to observe today’s Jum’uah prayer.
The visit formed part of his community engagement tour of the Metropolis in an ongoing plans and strategies he has rolled out since assumption of office to deepen good governance and enhance local participation.
Addressing the congregation Hon Abu Takoro admonished the youth to stay away from drug and substance abuse, emphasizing the dangers it poses to their well-being and future.
He used the occasion to also reaffirm his administration’s commitment to tackling this menace headon , outlining plans to address the issue and ensure a safer, healthier environment for our youth.
The leader of the sunny community, Sheik Saeed ,Abubakar expressed gratitude for the visit and commended the mayor for the initiative while promising the unwavering support of his sect in actualising this noble objective
