PROPOSED SANITATION DAY FORUM HELD IN TAMALE ON THE 24TH OF MAY, 2021.

At a stakeholder forum organized by the Tamale Metro Assembly, the coordinating Director, MCD, Mr Gilbert B Nuuri-Teg disclosed that as part of efforts to ensure environmental cleanliness across the Tamale Metropolis, every last Saturday of a month starting from this Saturday, 29th of May, 2021 is declared as a day set aside to mobilize community members to embark on vigorous communal cleanup exercise.

Mustapha Amadu: The move is in line with the national planned agenda for improved sanitation delivery across the communities.

The forum therefore served as a platform for stakeholders drawn from across CSOs, Butchers, traders, the Tamale branch of GPRTU and its allies, Tricycle operators popularly known as “Yello yellow” among other organized groups.

Also at the meeting were a number of Elected members of the assembly, representing their electoral areas.

Participants tools turns to make inputs to help take informed approval decisions for success and sustainability of the initiative, being the brain child of the Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Alhaji Saani Shaibu Alhassan.
