At a well attended program today, the Tamale metro assembly joined the rest of the MMDAs across the country to launch the 30days Countdown to the 2021 Population and Housing Census Night.
On this auspicious occasion, the Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Alhaji Saani Shaibu Alhassan, in his representative capacity of His Excellency, the president of the Republic Ghana was there to deliver the keynote address and subsequently performed the launch.
Also in attendance were the assembly members, the clergy, CSO groups, members of the Tamale branch of the GPRTU and its ally bodies, tailors & dressmakers association amongst other organized groups.
A few of these participants were given the opportunity to make statements in solidarity to guarantee the success of such a national exercise.
