QUEEN MOTHERS FROM NZEMA LAND PAID COURTESY CALL ON THE MAYOR OF TAMALE-22ND OCTOBER, 2021.

Queen mothers from the Nzema land in the Western Region, yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Tamale in his office. The Queen mothers are in Dagbon to celebrate this year’s Damba festival
in other to experience the rich culture of Dagbon and to establish friendship and strong bond between the two kingdoms- Nzema and Dagbon

The Mayor expressed his excitement about the visit and assured them of the Assembly’s support for peaceful and memorable celebrations. He used the occasion to also encourage other ethnic groups to emulate this example, adding that the initiative will go a long way to promote national cohesion and peace so as to leverage on our cultural diversity and orientation.

The Zung Lana, Col. Alhaji Mahamoud Tahiru (Rtd), who is also the Council of State member for the Northern Region, admonished Ghanaians to promote their culture in order to harness the country’s tourism potentials that inure to our benefit as sister kingdoms.
