The Mayor of Tamale, Hon Sule Salifu has today, 3rd November, 2021 embarked on a working visit to the Banks and other financial institutions.
The visit afforded him the otherwise rare privilege to discuss possible areas of cooperation between the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly and the financial institutions within the catchment area.
Speaking to officials of the Banks in their respective institutions, Hon. Sule Salifu recognized the critical role Banks and other financial industry players have played and continue to play in the development effort of the Assembly.
The Mayor therefore assured management of the target institutions of his commitment to opening platforms and opportunities to leverage and harness the resource potentials in the area for the mutual benefit of Government and the country’s private and public sector actors.
He later explored possible but suitable areas within Tamale for purposes of parking lots, bus terminals and other commercial activities. The move is to give effect to planned agenda to decongest the city of Tamale and ultimately ensure serenity across the central business district of Tamale.
Meanwhile Mayor Sule hinted plans to roll out a lot more routine working visits to key institutions and corporations (state and non-state actors) in the coming days.
