The Mayor of Tamale, Hon Sule Salifu was today, 8th November, 2021, at the Abaobu Market to interact with traders. The latest visit forms part of his familiarization tour of the metropolis. He is expected to learn at first hand, the challenges facing commerce.
Hon. Sule Salifu also met with leadership of the Butchers’ unions across the meatshops namely; central market, Abaobu and Lamashegu market centres.
In all these engagements, the Mayor emphasized the dire need for revenue generation and voluntary tax compliance to help initiate and accelerate game changing development projects across the various sectors of the local economy.
He assured the traders of using his good office to create investor friendly market space to do business.
Mayor Sule Salifu also indicated that his office will be forthcoming with programs and activities in an effort to consistently engage them at regular intervals on any issues affecting trade.
