The attention of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has been drawn to a viral video in circulation alleging the sale of a public land containing an existing but dilapidated public toilet facility located at Tishigu in the Tamale central constituency of the Tamale Metropolitan area.
This has attracted widespread condemnation by the court of public opinion.
Following this development, the metropolis has been in the news for the wrong reasons .
Speaking to Sagani tv , the PRO, Amadu Mustapha Zakari explained that the assembly,like many other state institutions does not have the mandate to sell public lands, adding that the only state institution clothed with that authority, using due process is the lands commission.
